On the 20th of the month of Safar 1435, a walking procession was organised by Khoddam al-Mehdi (peace be upon him) Organisation to commemorate the 40th day of mourning over the tragic martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).

His eminence Sheikh al-Habib, his eminence Sayid Ahmad al-Mousawi and his eminence Sheikh Abbas Aghaei together with a number of believers from different parts of Britain and Europe had all traveled on foot for eleven hours straight without taking any break, except for performing Salatul Dhurain which was led by his eminence Sheikh al-Habib at The Gravel Pits park in Northwood, until they Alhamdulilah eventually reached the Minor Land of Fadak.

The foot march was the first of its kind in Europe. It was organised to emulate the millions who had made pilgrimage to the master of martyrs Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) on the day of Arba’een as well as to revive and commemorate his tragic martyrdom. It was the longest foot march made on the day of Arba’een in Europe, covering a journey of over 27 kilometres from Northwest London, particularly from Kingsbury, down to the Minor Land of Fadak, where al-Muhassin (peace be upon him) Mosque is located.
